when days don't go as you had planned, sometimes a nice consolation prize is a slice of homemade pumpkin gingerbread and a warm drink.

so i'm participating in Freshly Blended's 2007 Holiday Ornament Swap. i'm teamed up with a group of nine other creative folks. we each are supposed to design and put together a handmade ornament (that we can make 9+ of) and send them to everyone in the group! it sounds like a fun way to receive some cool ornaments, and hopefully create something that will inspire and/or brighten someone else's holiday.

last week i made some tasty molasses cookies. gee whiz they're good!
