things of late

1. we went to pick blueberries. it was hot, fun, and i am *still* full of blueberries.
2. we are going to see WALL-E this weekend (when gene & genny come to visit). i'm excited!
3. i have been creating some artwork of late that i'm VERY fond of. but its for a specific client/project so i am keeping it a secret for now.
4. we are coming to oregon! (july 28–august 4). we will be dividing our time between cottage grove, molalla, and the annual suttle lake camping trip. yipee!
5. we are going on a hiking/camping trip to the sierras july 24–27 with some guys from neal's work. should be beautiful views, fun times, & tiring hikes.
6. yellow is a great color – always has been, always will be.
7. speaking of the number 7, it is almost our 7 year anniversary. 7 years!!? time flies when you have the greatest husband on this (and that) side of the mississippi! my parents recently celebrated their 32nd anniversary – congrats! only 25 more years to go before we catch up with you!
8. we have some pizza dough rising in the 'fridge for baking goodness on wednesday. my stomach is already growling (hmm... or mabye that's because of too many blueberries).

our car (the silver one) is having some troubles. some kind of battery charging issue, which we haven't had much of a chance to diagnose. (enter big sigh here).

in other, more positive news, we are moving up a league in basketball! this means more competition & more intense games. we are excited! and we play our second game of the softball season tonight. go amigos! (that's our team name).

rappel

last night neal and i went rappelling with mark, tommy, and peter (some of neal's co-workers). we went to rubio canyon, only about 30 minutes from our place. it was our first rappel experience, and it was fun. i will admit that i was very nervous at first, but once i got on the rope and trusted it to hold my weight, it was easy from there on out. we started at the highest waterfall (80 feet), and continued down through a series of 5 additional waterfalls of varying heights. all in all it was a great trip.

we have a new car... oh sweet relief! the mustang rental has been fun to drive, but one can only handle so much mustang before its time to move on.

no pics yet, but our new car a 1993 volvo 240 and basically looks like this. yeah!

**UPDATE: we now have two cars. here is the second. talk about sweetness!!!

We had to say goodbye to our red Mazda this week. If you hadn't heard, our car was totaled. But this video brightened my day!

so indocilis has been slow, but i guess that means we're all just busy. not much is new here – work, sleep, eat, relax, work, eat, relax, sleep... and an occasional fun bit sprinkled in there. we did go to a dodger game over the weekend. we put up a few pics here.
